I hiked all the way up Mount Vesuvius without paying for the overpriced €10 shuttle bus. Starting from the 800m mark—where you can park your car for free—I took the scenic route on foot to the summit. 🥾

I was the first to reach the crater that morning, with the entire volcano to myself. At the top, I found something totally unexpected... a place selling beer right on the rim of one of the most infamous volcanoes in history! 🍺🌋

Mount Vesuvius last erupted in 1944, but it’s most infamous for burying Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79 AD. Today, it remains one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world due to the millions of people living nearby.
