November 20, 2025 - The Fiesta Sports Foundation continued its support of Arizona educators with its annual wishes for teachers program. The program is in its 10th year and benefits selected teachers around the state. During the application process for the $2,500 grant, teachers detail a wish to enhance their classroom. Throughout the years, these wishes have included new books, robotics equipment, musical instruments, art supplies and more. This year, $1.5 million was awarded to a record 540 teachers, including several in Coconino, Yavapai and Navajo counties. Autumn Lavis, an art teacher at Manuel De Miguel Elementary School in Flagstaff, was selected, and wished to expand her ceramics program by buying clay, tools and storage to display student projects. KAFF News was able to surprise her with the announcement.
Community Health Center of Yavapai has announced Friday, November 21, as the grand opening celebration for its Ash Fork clinic. The opening marks the official launch of full-service, in-person care in Ash Fork. The clinic will be able to help expand access to healthcare for residents with a $150,000 donation from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. The public is invited to join the celebration from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the clinic, located at 112 Park Avenue. Attendees will have the chance to meet providers, hear from guest speakers, and receive free local health screenings. The clinic will be offering medical services every Friday, expanding beyond its existing telehealth options.
And Today's Weather.
