Tips you can implement tonight to better safeguard you and your family from future data leaks:
1. Turn your location settings off through your Facebook app.
First, turn off location through your cell phone then through the app setting:
•Tap the icon with the three lines in the bottom right.
•Tap Settings & Privacy, followed by Privacy Shortcuts.
•Tap Manage Your Location Settings, followed by Location Services.
•Tap Location and select Never.
2. Turn on Two-Factor Authentication so you’ll know if future hackers attempt to login to your account and obtain data about you from inside of your profile. Follow these steps to do this:
•Tap Settings & Privacy, followed by Settings.
•Select Security and Login.
•Scroll down to Two-Factor Authentication and tap Use two-factor authentication.
•Enter your phone number and confirm the code in the text to complete the setup.
