Making an Adze Tool from Rusty Scrap Metal

This adze tool was handcrafted by a blacksmith using old scrap metal. The process began with heating a piece of iron in the forge and hammering it into the shape of a blade. Another piece of metal was then used to form the head, which was welded to the blade to create a strong and solid joint.
After welding, the metal was cleaned, sharpened, and hardened through the heat-treatment process to give the edge durability and strength. Finally, a wooden handle was hand-carved and fitted into the adze head, completing the tool.
This handmade adze is not only a fully functional woodworking tool, but also a great example of recycling and traditional craftsmanship — turning old scrap metal into something new, useful, and beautiful.
