Heaven/11 — PS2 Atmospheric Jungle & DnB Mix [Slowed Breaks | Live on Tape]

Heaven/11 – Tape Session 1 was created using hardware from the late 1990s and early 2000s — mainly the Korg TR Rack, Korg Triton, and Roland JV-2080. Each track was recorded to cassette through a Tascam 112B, creating a mixtape. I then played the tape back and re-recorded the entire mix live, manually slowing the speed by feel as it played. What you’re hearing is that exact session.

I wanted this mix to feel unpredictable and human — every machine has its own personality and quirks, and that’s what makes hardware so alive. This session is me exploring those textures. It takes me back to being a kid on my first Casio keyboard, or idling in a PS2 RPG just letting the music loop forever.

The visuals connect directly to the Dusqk universe — styled like an early-2000s gaming magazine, with PS2 / Dreamcast energy. You’ll see a small live window showing me tweaking the cassette deck in real time, captured with OBS as the mix played.
