Few Ever Discover What “The Just Shall Live by Faith” Really Means | Joel S. Goldsmith

For centuries, you have been told to have more faith, to believe harder, to trust deeper. Churches have turned this ancient verse into a command for stronger belief, as if faith were a muscle you could exercise into strength. But what if everything you have been taught about faith is backwards. What if faith is not about believing at all.

The verse appears three times in scripture. Habakkuk wrote it first, Paul quoted it twice, and Martin Luther built the Reformation on it. The just shall live by faith. Five words that changed history, five words that millions repeat, five words that almost nobody actually understands. Here is what nobody taught you. Faith is not belief. The just are not the morally good. And living by faith has nothing to do with trusting God to help you.
