A few words on Emmanuel:
Emmanuel Candès is the Barnum-Simons Chair in Mathematics and Statistics at Stanford University, with expertise in computational harmonic analysis, statistics, and information theory. Formerly a professor at Caltech, he received his Ph.D. from Stanford in 1998. Candès has received several prestigious awards, including the NSF Alan T. Waterman Award, and is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has delivered over 60 plenary lectures at international conferences across various fields.
