Join me for a Walking Tour of the Ile de la Cite: one of two island on the River Seine in Paris, and officially recognised as the ‘Heart of the City).
Starting at the islands eastern point, I visit a memorial to French people deported to Nazi concentration camps during World War 2, and end at Paris’ best picnic spot at the opposite end of the island. Along the way I see medieval streets with tales to tell, the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral, a stunningly beautiful flower market, and the phenomenal Sainte-Chapelle former royal chapel with its incredible stained glass-glass windows.
