Meadow Bear arrived at ABR on August 24th 2024. She was released back into the wild on December 16th 2024 weighing 71.94 pounds. Thank you for keeping Meadow Bear in your heart!
Appalachian Bear Rescue (ABR), founded in 1996, is located just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Townsend, Tennessee. It is a rehabilitation center for orphaned and injured black bear cubs, two years of age or younger, with the goal to release them back to the wild as soon as possible.
