Here our German friends are covering and Antonov AN-2 Flap with the BetterAircraftFabric Oratex6000. The German Fabric comes off the delivery-roll as an airworthy product. It does NOT need any paint for any technical purpose. It has UV protection build-in and is fuel and oil resistant, air and water tight as it is delivered. It can be painted if so desired, but it does not need any paint for any technical reason. It is certified for use in Russia and this AN-2 shown here will be a standard category airplane in Germany. The Material goes onto the aircraft structure with a solvent-free, non-toxic glue and no Hazmat is involved. The Airplane has 80kg less empty weight now, thanks to the Oratex6000 fabric. The use of the material also created significant cost savings since the labor involved in creating an airworthy airplane is so significantly reduced.
