A discussion about emerging virtual economies. The Virtual Economy is a system of sophisticated platforms, fledgling and often dubious marketplaces, skilled nixers, volatile assets, and ambitious pioneers that exist or operate uniquely in virtual environments. In their current form exist as designed environments, tailored to provide utility and interaction with people, objectives and opportunities. We can access them either by fully immersing ourselves in Virtual Reality, through an avatar proxy or portals specifically designed to transact in virtual goods from the analogue world.
