We had such a great time exploring the Taronga zoo and were lucky to see the koalas wide awake and active — an unforgettable moment since they usually sleep up to 20 hours a day! 💚
From kangaroos, echidnas, and capybaras to dingoes, Tasmanian devils, and the unique platypus, Taronga is home to over 4,000 animals. Add to that the breathtaking views of Sydney Harbor, the Opera House, and the Harbor Bridge, and it’s easy to see why this zoo is one of the best in Australia.
Taronga Zoo is also a perfect spot for families and kids — with open spaces, interactive exhibits, and plenty of opportunities to learn about wildlife up close.
