North Country Trail: Hiking along Brevort Lake

For this section of the North Country Trail I hiked from Park Lane to Brevort Lake Road. This was about an 6.8 mile out and back section, totaling for around 13.6. The hike started out through some rolling, forested hills. When the path began to turn from dirt to sand, I got my first view of Brevort lake on the trail. This part of the lake was wider than at my campground, and the morning light gave the surface of the water a chrome appearance. A small bridge ran over Brevort River where cattails lined the banks and Maple trees were changing in the background. The trail ran along the lake where a couple great dispersed camp sites were located right on the shore. I then followed Brevort River through the forest until I came to Brevort Lake road.
