Sulfur is a great way to kill off parasites for your poultry flock. In this video I'll show you a basic recipe I use, roughly 8 parts sand to 1 part sulfur.
Here is the product I use, though I can't guarantee it is "food grade" or USP, from the description it appears to be safe enough for use with chickens. I've been using sulfur with similar dilution ratios for many years now without issue. The link below helps to support this channel:

It generally takes about 1 week to kill off mites as the chickens dust bathe in the sand/sulfur mixture and generally spread it around. Treating 3 coops costs roughly $15 and is highly effective. The sulfur treatment lasts as long as chickens use it and there's still some left... I'd guess 3 months - 9 months depending on how much you provide and how much your chickens waste over time.
