Yes, a trivial undertaking but one that carries with it a small degree of jeopardy when the watch in question is as special as the Grand Seiko SBGV009, a 2014 homage to the original Grand Seiko Self-Dater 5722-9000 from 1964. Where the original Self-Dater was fitted with the hand-wind, low-beat 5722A, the modern reinterpretation is powered by the Grand Seiko 9F82A quartz, accurate to about 1 second per year.
