And… unironically, mashups are back. This time, with even 5 songs.

I should clarify that I do NOT intend to make mashups in the future that includes more and more songs but sounds worse and worse, instead it’s just that I think these 5 songs have some sort of synergy that works… once again, on the weirdest ways.

Recently I’ve gotten addicted to The Weeknd after checking out the… OG album After Hours, and In Your Eyes quickly became my favorite The Weeknd song so I decided to try using it as the base instrumental. Plus I love the saxophone bit lol

As always, as a Kendrick stan, I have to include another one of his songs… Die Hard is such a vibe for me though (actually the ENTIRE Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers album is a huge vibe, Die Hard just stands out for me), and since the flow matches so well with the In Your Eyes instrumental I can’t resist-

Tyler, The Creator. I delved into Tyler’s music through Chromakopia, and tbh I just used Thought I Was Dead cuz I wanna add the “THEM NS THOUGHT I WAS DEADDDD” chant into the chorus lmao

J. Cole! I knew J. Cole through the Kendrick beef last year, though I traced back and found No Roel Modelz from The Forest Hills Drive 2014. Found out the chorus has a flow that matches Die Hard in an unorthodox way… and I went for it.

I found Bad Habit by Steve Lacy through… YouTube shorts sounds last year, and I’ve been wanting to add Bad Habit onto a mashup of mine ever since. Then I found out In Your Eyes has a long instrumental section in the very beginning, just perfect for Bad Habit’s “I wish I knew you wanted me” hook as well… so of course I’d have to stick that in.

And that makes it 5 songs! It’s a miracle it sorta worked, really, but that’s what I’m here for of course. So that’s In Your Eyes x Die Hard x Thought I Was Dead x No Role Modelz x Bad Habit for yall. :)
