கொண்டத்து காளியம்மன் வரலாறு | Kondathu Kaliamman Temple History in Tamil

அருள்மிகு கொண்டத்துக்காளியம்மன் திருக்கோவில் இந்தியா நாட்டில் தமிழ்நாடு மாநிலத்தில் ஈரோடு மாவட்டத்தில் கோபிச்செட்டிப்பாளையம் வட்டத்தில் இருக்கும் ஒரு பிரசித்தி பெற்ற இந்து கோவில் ஆகும். இந்த கோவில் கோபிச்செட்டிப்பாளையம் நகரத்தில் இருந்து 3 km தொலைவில் பாரியூர் கிராமத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
இந்த கோவில் பல நூற்றாண்டுகள் பழமை வாய்ந்தது. தற்போது இருக்கும் கோவில் 1950ல் புனரமைக்கப்பட்டு கட்டப்பட்டது. இந்த இடம் புராண காலத்தில் பாரபுரி என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டது. கொண்டத்துக் காளியம்மன் ஆற்றுப்படை என்ற பழைமையான ஓலைச்சுவடி இத்தலச்சிறப்பினை விளக்குகிறது. இதற்கு முன் இவ்விடம் அழகாபுரி/ பாராபுரி என வழங்கப்பட்டு வந்தது. இங்குள்ள அம்மன் கடையேழு வள்ளல்களில் ஒருவரான பாரியின் குலதெய்வம் என நம்பப்படுகிறது. எனவே, "பாரியூர்" என்று பெயர் மாற்றம் பெற்றது. அருள்மிகு கொண்டத்து மாரியம்மன் ஊரின் வளமைக்கு முக்கியக் காரணமாக இருந்தாள் என்று கூறப்படுகிறது.

Perumanallur Kondathu Kaliamman temple:   This is another ancient temple in Perumanallur.  In fact, this temple sees more devotees visiting it than the other temples.  The name of the Amman is the same one as Pariyur Amman- Kondathu Kali.  This temple is believed to be over 1000 years old. 

This area was forming part of Chera Naadu.  One of the kings consulted his Guru regarding the methods to be adopted in winning wars.  Apart from his valour, the Guru suggested that the king required the blessings of Kali.  She should be appeased to win wars by giving human sacrifice.  Accordingly, the king built this temple, conducted a big havan ( homam ) and sacrificed one of his soldiers in the Homa fire.  He is believed to have won the war.  This custom continued for some more time before it was put to an end.
