No. I'm Extra and put in fancy word placements because, you know, why not. I spent more time on this than I intended and it all started with me wanting to figure out the full lyrics at the start (a lot of people just fill the second part in with "???" because it's hard to hear. This is my take on what i think it sounds like. Some other lyric places have it as something else, but I think "is let me stand in here, shattering me to pieces" fits the context most and the syllables. Who knows. Maybe I'm wrong and stupid. I really love Simon Curtis. about 7 years back I think, when he was new, I found his music and it was a hard ass time for me. His music was extremely validating and relatable, especially this song, because I was dating an abusive person (though I never realized until about two years later), but his music really helped me understand my feelings and realize a lot of things about myself. I hope others have found comforts in his music too in terms of coping with abuse and coping with the struggles of mental illness. :)
