This is the section of Butcher Ranch trail after the "gorge" to the start of Third Divide. Butcher Ranch is 3.9 miles and rated black. It has the infamous "waterfall" rock garden. If you ride it in late Spring/early Summer, the waterfall is full of rushing water, but in late Summer it's typically dry. But, that doesn't mean it's any easier to clean and I often choose to walk it to save myself from injury and embarrassment (since there's often folks watching riders come through).
