I see a lot of videos showing QRP operations with this radio, but not many highlighting the capabilities of the VHF/UHF side of the IC-705. As you can see in this video, I'm using a very basic setup; just the radio with a hand-aimed Elk antenna and the MacDoppler software. Although I showcase MacDoppler, this should work with most of the satellite tracking/rig control apps that are out there. Some of the software options are free, making satellite ops even cheaper. For Mac users, though, not many alternatives to MacDoppler.
