‘Sittin Up in my Room’ by Brandy was released on December 12, 1995; as the second single from the ‘Waiting to Exhale’ soundtrack. The song was both written and produced by Babyface who executive produced the entire soundtrack for the film. The song peaked at number 2 on both the Hot R&B Singles chart and the US Billboard Hot 100; at the time becoming Brandy’s most successful single on the Hot 100.
