Walk with Clare as she discovers Xgħajra – a coastal gem she’d never visited before filming this episode.

From the mysterious 17th-century Dar tal-Barunissa to the historic Della Grazie Battery guarding Grand Harbour, this quiet village reveals stories of defence, devotion and rural life beyond Ħaż-Żabbar. Then the episode shifts into harvest mode: we dive into the rich symbolism of the pomegranate, from Greek myth to Maltese tradition, before joining Rita and a group of children to pick, peel and taste this “fruit of the gods” straight from the trees.
