Ever tried coffee with eggs? 🥚☕ Vietnam’s legendary Egg Coffee (Cà Phê Trứng) is rich, sweet, and silky — almost like a dessert in a cup. In this video, I’ll show you step by step how to make it at home with a traditional Vietnamese phin filter.
📝 Recipe: Vietnamese Egg Coffee
Brew the Coffee
• 25g ground coffee (Vietnamese robusta if possible)
• 10g hot water → bloom for 20s
• 20g hot water → drip for 90s
• 65g hot water → drip 5–7 min
➡️ Yields ~45ml strong black coffee
Egg Cream
• 2 egg yolks
• 4g honey
• 4g caramel
• 6 drops lime juice
• Pinch of sugar
👉 Whip with a hand blender for ~5 min until light & fluffy
Assembly
1. Pour 20ml condensed milk into a cup
2. Spoon egg cream on top
3. Slowly pour hot black coffee through the foam
4. Dust with cocoa powder to finish ✨
