Alphabet recognition is a crucial skill in preschool children as it lays the foundation for reading and writing in the future. To make Alphabet recognition and learning, fun and engaging for children, various ways can be adopted by parents/teachers. Storytelling, rhymes, activities and reading appropriate books are some of them.
Our video, based on the bestselling book “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”, by Bill Martin Jr., has a new Alphabet song, fun animation to go along with the narration and alphabet activities tailor made for the preschool children. The read-aloud in this video, narrated by our Tejasvita teacher Lakshmi Prashanth, is about lowercase alphabets climbing on to a coconut tree and all falling down due to their weight! The capital letters eventually help out the lowercase letters. At the end of the video, interesting activities to aid alphabet recognition with hands-on materials like play dough and alphabet cutouts are demonstrated, which will make alphabet learning fun and engaging for preschoolers. The video is apt for early English language learners.
