This is how we become the firstborn child in a family in the Zimbabwean culture!
And boy oh boy was I was in for a surprise! Before you jump in and think this is about me, it's not!😂 Today we're celebrating and thanking my Muroora (Erica) and cousin (Tate) for allowing us to experience this special moment with them.
Now, hands up if you knew this process existed!!! Because I'm well into my 20's and only finding out about this process now! I mean I knew the expecting wife went to her parents house at some point in time, but I didn't know there was a process done before she went....and there's a process to go get her back too!!!! YOU DON'T JUST GO PICK HER UP AND DIP!!! WHO KNEW!!!
Anywho, I covered as much as I could, and the practices slightly differ from family to family but basically, you'll get the gist.
In addition to this, we're welcoming my sister back from abroad! I haven't seen her in a few years now and having her back has been amazing! You wouldn't believe these were the 2 girls who couldn't share a room all this time! But alas, here we are. Just two sisters vibing!
