Taranis Q X7 OpenTX Getting Started With Lua Function Scripts

Welcome to another video from RCdiy.ca


This video goes over how to use Lua function scripts.

Please read the documentation for details and updates on what I will be showing you.

Typically Lua function scripts may be used for customized announcements. For example you may have a script that once executed it produces the sound of a race start buzzer after a random wait time.

Lua function scripts are selected and configured using the special functions screen.

They are executed based on switch position just like any other special function.

The number of these scripts that may be used is limited by the number of configurable lines on the special functions screen.

To use a function script download and place it on the SD card in the scripts, functions folder.

Edit the model and go to the the special functions screen.

Select a switch and position that will be used to execute the script.

Select, Play Script, as the function that will be executed.

Then from the menu select the script that will be executed.

Once the configuration is done you may now use the script by moving the configured switch to the execute position.
