This busy metal recycling facility is south of Denver, CO and just west of the Joint Line and serviced by the UP and BNSF. Various types of scrap items such as cars and appliances are fed into a shredder, cut into manageable sizes, and then sorted into the various type of metals such as: steel, iron, aluminum, copper, rubber, etc. Metal processed in scrap yards is transported by truck and train to steel mills for further metal recycling process.
