Strengthening Reading Culture Across Balochistan
A total of 92 libraries have been established in various government schools across Balochistan — including Government Girls High School Killi Alam Khan, Quetta — to nurture a love for reading among students and enhance the quality of education in the province.
The establishment of these libraries aims to open new doors of knowledge and curiosity for children, encouraging them to read, explore, and grow into confident learners — paving the way for a more educated and enlightened Balochistan.
This initiative has been launched under the School Education Department, Government of Balochistan, with the special guidance and vision of the Honorable Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti and
Honorable Minister for Education, Madam Rahila Hamid Khan Durrani.
UNICEF and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) have also played a significant role in supporting educational projects and learning centers across the province. Through their continued collaboration, initiatives like these are helping to improve the quality of education, enhance learning facilities, and strengthen the overall education system in Balochistan.
