Panyaden International School

Panyaden International School is a Chiangmai international school serving foreign and Thai children in its Early Years to Secondary School program. Panyaden focuses on cultivating a way of life supported by a strong socio-emotional and academic education. Founded in 2010 to deliver a holistic education, Panyaden bases its teaching on the International Primary Curriculum, which is known for its creative and thematic approach to teaching, and the UK National Curriculum. Its curriculum also focuses on Buddhist principles, raising environmental awareness, and developing life skills such as managing one’s emotions and relationships, fostering a service-minded attitude, developing healthy eating habits, and learning how to grow food or building a shelter and make fire.
From Nursery through to Year 6, the curriculum is taught in both Thai and English, except for maths, which is taught in English only. Each class is taught by a dynamic team made of 1 foreign teacher, 1 Thai teacher and 1 teacher assistant. At the secondary level, all core subjects are taught in English only and students also have a chance to study a third language.
