Key takeaways: The short shifter install on the BMW 2 series is very similar to the e36 m3 and some of the parts look the same. With that said, the space you have to work with is very limited when you are on the underside of the car. Just be patient, take breaks when you need it, and go at it again. The install is not har you are just working in a tight space.

Initial thoughts: It definitely take more effort to go in and out of the gears. However, the driving experience is drastically improved by the shorter throws between gears and the ability to go through the gears much faster.

I have tried the UUC short shifter on my e36 M3 and I have to say that I enjoy this shifter much better and YES! The Turner motorsports shifter is much shorter than the UUC on the e36. I will say that the stock configuration on both the e36 and the f22 feel the same.
