Félix Maradiaga is a Nicaraguan human rights advocate and former presidential candidate. In his talk at the 2025 College Freedom Forum at Tufts University, he describes his imprisonment under Daniel Ortega’s regime and discusses how authoritarian regimes use arbitrary detention as a tool of repression.
