How to mix ANY color using only 5.🤯 And it's not the traditional RBY! -Acrylic Pouring

Say goodbye to your cabinet full of colors. You only need these 5 to mix every color in the spectrum (excluding metallics). This how to video explains mixing colors via CMYK and not the traditional RBY we learned in school...and why CMYK is better!

When it comes to mixing bright colors, many artists realize that the traditional color theory doesn’t work. Red, blue and yellow are not the best primary colors to make every other color.

Red, blue and yellow cannot make as many colors as cyan, magenta and yellow. You can't create a bright pink or vibrant green with RBY. Getting more basic, you can’t even make cyan or magenta with any combination of red, blue and yellow. But you CAN make red, blue and yellow with cyan, magenta and yellow. 🤔 (I think I'm starting to convince you!)

I've been acrylic pouring since 2018. I am the messiest painter you will ever watch, but I love doing it! Amsterdam Primary Cyan 572
Amsterdam Primary Magenta 369
Amsterdam Primary Yellow 275
Amsterdam Titanium White 105

I did find a few websites that may be helpful in finding CMYK values. Use these AS A GUIDE, not the Bible. Remember, printing doesn't use white to make colors so you will have to use your brain/imagination a little to incorporate white to get some of these lighter colors.
