A: I’m Kim. Stephan’s dad. Dr. Kimbell wanted to talk to me about my son.
B: Oh, you’re here for your son. Stephan?
A: That’s right. I was supposed to see her at 2.
B: Ah, here you are. – All right. Yes, 2 o’clock, but we have you down for the twenty-fourth.
A: Sorry. Come again?
B: We have you down for the twenty-fourth, sir.
(Your appointment is on the 24th, sir.)
A: The twenty-fourth? Does that mean ….
B: Today’s the twenty-first.
A: No. That can’t be right. I’m pretty sure she said the twenty first.
B: Dr. Kimbel told you that herself?
A: Yeah. It was a week ago. I made the appointment over the phone. She said she would let you guys know.
B: Well, I’m sorry. There must’ve been a mix-up. We have you down for 2 o’clock on the 24th.
A: OK. Ummm.. Well, if she’s here, maybe I could…
B: She’s not in right now, but if you’re willing to wait, she’ll be back briefly around four.
A: Four?!
B: I’ll try her cell and let her know that you’re here. Maybe she could get here earlier.
A: Would you? I’d really appreciate it.
