KTM has tried to offer a sensible and affordable adventure touring package with the 250 Adventure. By combining the engine from the 250 Duke to the foundations of the 390 Adventure, KTM’s 250 ADV comes in at Rs 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is roughly Rs 50,000 cheaper than the 390 ADV. But when it comes to sensibility, BMW Motorrad India too has become wise and slashed the asking price of the G 310 GS. In its BS6 avatar, it is Rs 64,000 cheaper than before, now priced at Rs 2.85 lakh. And it packs more features, retains the premium BMW quotient and some attractive paint schemes. However, it would have been a big miss if we didn’t bring along the OG: the Royal Enfield Himalayan. For long, it has been the go-to adventure touring motorcycle in the entry-level space, brushing off new contenders without much stress. So, can the new premium arrivals ruffle up the Himalayan’s feathers? Or is the king still going to reign supreme?
