The Three Minute Thesis is a worldwide competition that celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students. Pioneered by The University of Queensland in 2008, competitors must face the challenge of condensing years of complex PhD research into a three-minute presentation for a general audience. Along with the fun, excitement and challenge, competitors benefit by developing their academic communication skills and publicising their profile as researchers. The 2019 Monash University final was held on Thursday, 15 August at the Central One Lecture Theatre, Clayton campus.
