How to restor sounds in the Korg DS-8.
The Kord Ds-8 is an FM synthesiser from 1987. these days. When you find them they are usually broken or are suffering from a dead battery. I bought one with a fixed battery but still no sound was coming out except for glitchtastic crap so I am going to use SysEx over MIDI to restore the original factory sounds. This is ancient technology, but thank you to the Internet. We can still find these files pretty easily and making this fix is not terribly challenging. Let’s do it together and hopefully this video helps you fix your old Korg.
