Pain has two primary jutsus in his arsenal. His first jutsu is his almighty push that causes the opponent to be in a knocked down state on hit. This jutsu has a huge success rate of hitting your opponent in the air, because they have to use their substitution twice in order to fully escape it. Combine this jutsu with an OTG assist and you can confirm a full combo off of this. It is quite handy to use such an assist for this specific reason. This jutsu also has I-frames during the activation of this jutsu, so be sure to keep that in mind when using it.

His second jutsu is his almighty pull that causes the opponent to be in a special stunned state on hit. This jutsu is great for neutral control and can cause a lot of confusion on the field of battle. It is one of the best moves to use if your opponent is trying to escape your pressure. It can also catch your opponent out of the air while also being able to hit every assist on the field. This is most definitely one of the best pressure tools in the game.

Overall, Pain is a great character and it comes to no surprise why so many players have him in their team selection. Definitely check him out if you haven’t already!
