Elliot James Reay was announced as the winner of the "Road to Memphis" competition on March 12, 2025
A musician from Bury with more than five million followers on social media has beaten tens of thousands of musicians worldwide to take his 1950s sound to the USA.
Singer Elliot James Reay wowed judges at the Road To Memphis competition, which is song contest aimed at tackling the stigma of mental health.
Elliot, who will travel to Tennessee to pick up his award in the coming weeks said: "The song itself is taken from that Memphis sound.
"I absolutely love all the artists from that era, from Memphis, who pioneered Memphis as the home of that style of music. For this specific song to win an award like that is incredible.
"I don't really have much words for it because I'm like so taken aback. It's not really hit me."
