Welcome to my 'Reed Organ Workshop', where I just completed a restoration of an 1868 Alexandre et Fils harmonium, although the case parts are still not completely assembled for this video.
I thought that I would share this small sound sample, playing a piece called "Aubade" by Alfred Lebeau. As you can probably hear, the sound and response is very different from the instruments that I usually post here. This one has a mechanism called 'Percussion', which has little hammers like a piano that strike the reed before it sounds with the wind, allowing for very fast response. The wind is controlled by the foot treadles, which has a special stop all the Expression, which allows direct control of the wind and bypasses the reservoir, which makes the music available for incredible dynamics.
Once I finalize a few more adjustments and clear up a couple of issues, I will post this piece again in its entirety, even though I already recorded this on another organ in the past :)
