My Boyfriend Put Me Into Prison

I got into a relationship with my boyfriend just 1 month after he came out of prison where he served a 2 year sentence for dr*g dealing.

It sounds stupid, but I was all over him, completely blinded by love. That’s why I didn’t mind that he started selling illegal substances again. He also told me it was only weed and that it would be legal soon anyway.

But one day, he took my phone to send some other dr*g dealer an sms.

I didn’t know anything about it. But then the cops came to my apartment and searched everything. My boyfriend was lucky because he was out at his friends house. Meanwhile the police found 200 grams of weed inside my apartment. Honestly, I had no idea my boyfriend had hid it there.

But when the cops asked me if it was mine, I refused to answer and told them I wanted to talk to my lawyer first.

Stupid as I was I didn’t pay for a good lawyer and got a public defender. Which is a lawyer paid by the state. He looked so tired and even told me how overworked he was.

But he said I shouldn’t worry. This was my first offence and therefore it was unlikely I’d be sentenced to any jail time. Well, I believed him. And because I knew if I snitched on my boyfriend that he’d be locked away for years, I took all the blame on me.
I told the judge I’d been selling the weed to my friends. Unfortunately though, she was in a bad mood that day and gave me the maximum sentence of 6 month in jail.

I was shocked. This sentence would ruin my life. I would lose my job. And I’d be kicked out of my apartment because how was I supposed to pay rent from prison?

I accepted my sentence anyway. Well, at least for 2 days. Then I got sick of sharing a room with some heavily overweight woman who snored like a bear.

Also, my boyfriend came to visit me. He thanked me a hundred times, but didn’t say sorry once.

You can’t imagine how angry I got. I immediately called my lawyer and told him that my boyfriend had hidden the weed inside my apartment without telling me.

My lawyer then contacted the police who went to my boyfriends home and found more illegal substances.
In the end, I got a new trial and was exonerated. While my ex-boyfriend got 4 years for drug selling and another 2 years for pressuring me to take the blame for his crime.

To be honest, I don’t feel bad for him at all. He was willing to destroy my life. I mean, what kind of human being would send his girlfriend to prison? Oh yeah, a criminal.Looking back, I realise that he was one of the most disgusting people I’ve ever met. I thought he was cool and fun to be around. But actually he’s just a selfish loser who will hopefully rot in his cell for the rest of his life.
