Donna has been a lifeguard at the YWCA for 17 years, but her story with us started long before she ever put on a suit. As a child, she grew up in our programs, surrounded by the care, support, and community that the YW is known for. Today, she’s paying it forward, helping keep children safe in the same place that once supported her.
For 109 years, the YWCA Quad Cities has been blazing trails—founded by women, for women—providing help where there was none. That mission continues today through child care, essentials like food, diapers, and clothing, and safe spaces for kids to grow and thrive.
