Le Mans had from the beginning the longest straight of all, the Mulsanne straight, and near the end of it, a flat-out curve, The Kink. But since 1990 no longer was the same, and the Mercedes C9 winner of 1989 were the last to pass it at 400 Km/h, day and night.
