Thekkady or Periyar is a destination which is famous for Periyar Tiger Reserve , and this PTR is conducting so many activities inside this reserve forest like Bamboo Rafting , Trekking , Nature Walk , Jungle Scout , Tribal Dance etc.. apart from the normal boating in the Periyar Lake. This video shows the whole details about half day bamboo rafting and trekking inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve.
During our 2 night 3 days thekkady tour , we did Half day bamboo rafting in Periyar tiger reserve on our 3rd day and was a nice experience . Bamboo rafting in the periyar is one of the best things to do in thekkady and is value for money too. INR 1800 is the ticket rate for half day bamboo rafting and we have to trek 5 k one side through thick forest to reach the starting point of bamboo rafting . If we book tickets one day in advance , we will get lunch from PTR .
Bamboo rafting time is 1 hour after trekking and is a nice experience
