Let’s go to Castelldefels Beaches from Barcelona city center by Renfe train - (we had a funny experience). It’s still in Zone 1, so we can use T Casual ticket (just about 1€ for one way trip). The trip should only take about 30 minutes.
First we took the Metro train Line 2 from Sant Antoni station going to Passeig de Gràcia to get the Renfe train, the one that goes to Castelldefels - just follow the ‘R’ sign. Be careful for some changes though, unfortunately we took the ‘wrong’ train, the one that won’t stop at Platja del Castelldefels. So we had to get off at the next station (where it stopped - in Sitges) and had to go back. Sitges has different ticket prices, the beaches are lovely, too, we went there two weeks ago.
Castelldefels is a municipality in the Baix Llobregat comarca, located about 20km, in the southwest of Barcelona. The beach district of Castelldefels is served by Platja de Castelldefels railway station. It’s just a few minutes walk to the long stretch of the beaches of Castelldefels.
