what an absolute find. To discover a flat scenic route in Cornwall was very exciting.
This is a multiuse trail and there are cyclist and a lovely cycle hire just by Pentewan village.
You can also go off path to meet up with the route to Lost gardens of Heligan and down to Mevigissey. This part has recently been done to cater for a more smoother off road route.
There are several car parks from St Austell to Pentewan. We chose the Car park near the treatment works near St Austell.
Definitely go towards Pentewan. The river will be on your right hand side. This all offroad. Please note that you will have cars around near the car parks.
There aren't many spaces in this car park. probably 7 tops. It is a free car park and no allocated disabled parking. No height restriction bars. PL26 7AN
There is a pay and display car park in Pentewan village.
This is such a fabulous route with a cafe half way. They have a toilet but it isn't a disabled one. The nearest disabled toilet is in Pentewan square.
Was such a lovely walk and we went over a few little bridges.
The route we took had no gates.
You can go into the village and sit outside the cafes. Please note these shut at 4pm.
We couldn't go up the steps opposite the pub to sit in their beer garden but we managed to find a separate access which wasn't easy to manoeuvre but we managed it.
Lovely day had by all
Route is 7 miles in total
So wish it was advertised more !!!
Enjoy your day here :)
