The original Weber Unifilter had a nicer softer rubber I believe but not really an issue unless you're a weirdo like me who also had that one previously!
This one I like better since it's more versatile with multiple basket options!
Also doesn't have the sharp ledge (basket top part is rounded) which I assume would dig into the espresso machines gasket! Also Triangular shape on the Unifilter caused retention on the ledge because my Lagom magnetic funnel didn't sit properly on it (explained in previous video).
I feel a little ripped off by Normcore because their portafilter ONLY seems to work with their own holder due to the weird shape of the handle. I had a portafilter holder I use and was compatible with so many other portafilters! But not the Normcore.
The Weber stuff took so long to arrive I had ended up selling my E61 machine and getting a cheap used /old beat up Breville Dual Boiler.
The only down side to the BDB is it's not as reliable, lots of plastic parts (possibly some harder to find parts / weird screws) and not E61 portafilter compatible! But Coffee Taste, Milk steaming, and temperature and feature wise I think the BDB is better than my higher end E61 Dual Boiler!
