Karakol Trip || Kyrchyn Gorge

On the northern shore of Issyk-Kul, 40 km east of the resort town of Cholpon-Ata above the village of Semenovka, there is one of the most beautiful places in the Issyk-Kul region - the Kyrchyn Gorge (Semyonovskoe Gorge).


The length of the gorge is about 30 km. The turbulent mountain river Ak-Suu with the purest glacial water flows along the bottom of the gorge, and majestic Tien Shan spruce trees rise on the slopes. In spring and summer, the clean mountain air is filled with the aromas of alpine herbs.


The Semenov Gorge is one of the attractions of the Kyrgyz Republic and is one of the mandatory excursions for tourists vacationing in Issyk-Kul. In the summer, yurts are set up here, where everyone can taste Kyrgyz national cuisine. Horse riding tours along the gorge are organized for horseback riding enthusiasts.
