Tyrannosaurus Rex vs Giganotosaurus | What Dinosaur Wins?

Amidst the Cretaceous Period of the Mesozoic, two dinosaurs are frequently referred to as being the most fearsome, well equipped predators of this long lost world. Tyrannosaurus rex, the tyrant lizard king; a dinosaur that needs no introduction, and Giganotosaurus carolinii, a colossal carcharodontosaurid. While there is no way these two dinosaurs could have connected in real life, considering Tyrannosaurus lived in North America and Giganotosaurus lived in South America with a roughly thirty million year time difference, it can be fun to speculate.

Can we feasibly determine a winner in this imaginary prehistoric stand off with the evidence we have? If we can, how close would the margin of defeat be, and what might a potential fight between these two magnificent animals have looked like?
