This is a cab view of the JR Hachiko Line from Yorii Station to Kodama Station. This is a continuation of the previous video I uploaded:

and uses the same train. This time, it's a short journey of about 13 minutes.
The Hachiko Line traverses hilly terrain, gradually opening up after passing the central section. The Hachiko Line is unique among Japanese railways in that it does not have a single tunnel along its entire length. Perhaps it was precisely for this reason that the line was built here. Construction began in 1931, and the entire line opened in 1934. Also unique among Japanese railways, the entire line opened in such a short time.
Currently, the line has a strong local feel, running through a sparsely populated area, but its opening led to the development of many towns along the line. Photographed in August 2025.
I plan to upload the scenery beyond Kodama Station, the terminus of this video, at a later date.
