I shot this video to show you how I find the pounamu that I carve, then design and create each piece personally in my studio.
I go up into the mountains of the West Coast of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand to gather my own pounamu/jade stones.
I bring them back into my studio where I hand draw the traditional and contemporary designs straight onto the pounamu.
I then carve each piece personally. Come and learn about the process.
Once the special piece is finished it is warmed and blessed before it goes out into the world to become your special Taonga - treasure to be passed down through the generations.
